Run For All have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Event Manager to join the team in Leeds. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and lead an expanding marketing and communications team.
Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit mass participation running event companies. Hosting a number of the north’s high-profile mass participation events including The Yorkshire Marathon, Leeds Half Marathon, Sheffield Half Marathon and Leeds 10K.
Run For All is part of the lasting legacy of the late amateur athlete and fundraiser Jane Tomlinson CBE. Jane, from Leeds, who made headlines around the world by taking part in a series of incredible endurance events – despite being diagnosed with an incurable cancer.
The Senior Event Manager is a key role across the organisation, you will deputise for the Head of Events and support with managing and leading of a multi-disciplinary delivery team. You will be expected to develop and refine the high standards expected in the planning and safe delivery of the events, whilst translating these into a positive, enjoyable and successful on the day event experience for participants.
You will work closely with the Head of Events to develop and implement event plans, allocating internal resources and ensuring tasks are completed on time. You will have a specific focus on delivering and refining the ‘participant experience’, further enhancing Run For All’s reputation for event day experience.
The role requires a proficient event manager who has a genuine passion for sports and events and a track record of success in large-scale event planning and execution, delivering projects within time constraints and budget. You will be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and have had experience in management of people/ teams.
As Senior Event Manager you will be expected to have knowledge of all statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring that these are reflected in all company policies and procedures. You will have experience in developing and facilitating positive relationships with various internal and external parties and will have experience of working within a multi-agency environment.

You will need to own a car and have a full clean driving licence to be considered for this position. You would also need to be able to work a number of weekends due to the demands of our events season. We do not accept applications from recruitment agencies.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this post is £28,000-36,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus contribution towards a personal pension following completion of a successful probationary period. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year excluding public holidays.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday. Additional evening and weekend work will be required, particularly in the run up to and during the event season.
Applicants must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as the role can demand travel across Yorkshire, Lancashire and the East Midlands.
