Phoenix Events (East) Ltd have an opportunity for an experienced Event Manager to join the team in the East, on an ad-hoc basis. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and lead an expanding company in the East of England across some of the area’s leading events.
Phoenix Events (East) Ltd, was formed in 2018, to provide SIA trained security and NVQ Level 2 trained stewards, across a range of events in East Anglia, including music festivals, sports, charity events, weddings etc. As a company, we recognise the importance of a bespoke service that is individually tailored to the needs of our clients, through consultation meetings with members of our management team.
This manager is a key role across the business, whereby you will take a lead role in organising and delivering events from start to finish. You will be expected to maintain the high standards expected in the planning of the events, and ensuring they go ahead efficiently. At Phoenix Events (East) Ltd, excellent customer service is greatly important to us, so providing a successful, exciting and memorable day for our clients and customers, is the focal point of what we do.
You will work closely with our management team, to develop and implement event plans, ensure the correct number of staff are there, and discuss with clients their specific needs for the event, to ensure we can provide our services as quickly and efficiently as possible. By keeping your focus on the ‘participant experience’, we can work together as a team to preserve our excellent reputation, and continue to deliver the best services possible.
The role requires a motivated and excited event manager who has experience in customer service, and an interest in planning and executing a range of large-scale events, that match our client’s needs and budget. You are required to be confident in communication, have had experience in team management, and remain organised, professional and level headed, across all situations.
As a Manager you will be expected to have good knowledge of all statutory and regulatory requirements in security and stewarding, ensuring that these are reflected in all company policies and across all of our events. It is necessary that you are SIA trained (however please note that we do provide full training for this free of charge, so if you do not have this prior to your application, this will not be of hinderance to you). You will have experience in developing positive relationships with various internal and external parties, and being a friendly and approachable member of our management team, for the rest of our team and clients.
Although a full clean driving license and access to a car is highly desirable, it is not necessary in order for your application to be considered. We do require you to have reliable access to other means of transport, however this can be discussed later on in the application process. You would also need to be able to work a number of weekends due to the demands of our events season, and this will include early hours and night work.
This role requires lots of travelling across mostly East Anglia, however this is subject to change as we branch out across the East Midlands and some areas of London. Therefore, it is crucial that you are willing to travel to wherever the event is held, especially as we approach the summer season with outdoor events.
