Number 10 has announced some machinery of government changes and ministerial appointments.
DCMS will revert back to its role as Department for Culture, Media and Sport, losing its responsibility for digital.
- The Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP has been appointed as Secretary of State.
- The Rt Hon Michelle Donelan MP has moved to become Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology.
The other changes are:
- The Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP becomes Secretary of State for Business and Trade
- The Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP becomes Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero
- The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP becomes Chairman of the Conservative Party (Minister without Portfolio).
- , Number 10 have confirmed that the Rt Hon Stuart Andrew MP has been reappointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the reconstituted DCMS, and that he will also be a minister in the newly formed Department for Business and Trade as Minister for Equalities.
