In working together to raise the standard of healthcare at events, EMA aspires to provide a credible and respected voice for the sector and for membership to become a “kite mark” of quality.

To achieve this, EMA must assure itself that all present and future members share this vision and are able to meet the high standards which the organisation wishes to promote. This will be done in two ways:

  • Self declaration through an assessment questionnaire and submission of key policies
  • Customer feedback using a structured reference

It is recognised this process has its limitations but there is a fine line between sufficient rigour and over-intrusiveness.

It was agreed that all members would be invited to contribute suggestions for items to be included in each of these proposed documents before Christmas and a further meeting will be held in the New Year to agree content and determine how and by whom the resulting data will be processed.
