CarFest – Operations Manager (Mid-Level) – Full time

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and dynamic mid-level Operations Manager to join our team full-time.

 

About Us:

CarFest is the UK’s largest family fundraising festival, that over the August bank holiday receives over 100,000 visits to the beautiful fields of Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire.

Created by presenter Chris Evans, CarFest brings families together for an unforgettable weekend of seven fabulous festivals including AdventureFest, CarFest, FoodFest, KidsFest, RetroFest, SpaFest and StarFest plus one big party every evening with performances from the UK’s best artists, bands and DJs.

As CarFest Management Ltd, we’re a small, but mighty, full-time team based in London with a shared mission: raising money for UK Children’s charities while creating an impressive event for all our visitors. We pride ourselves on being a ‘CarFest family’, working closely together and caring for one another.

 

The Role

As Operations Manager you’ll be responsible for site services, infrastructure, and production across the festival, ensuring everything is delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Work alongside the Operations Director to develop and implement operational plans

– Identify, negotiate and manage supplier relationships for best event outcomes

– Collaborate on ‘feature’ areas/stages, including branding, design, and furnishings

– Develop and manage the event operations budget

– Lead site plan design and edits through to festival mark out

– Manage risk and compliance for all builds, suppliers, and features

– Oversee event set-up, execution, and derig

 

Essential Requirements:

– Minimum three years’ experience working on green field event site(s)

– Experience in designing green field event site plans and/or CAD

– IOSH or relevant event site health and safety training

– First aid training

– UK driver’s licence

– Microsoft Excel proficiency with basic formulae skills

 

Location & Working Pattern:

– Four days minimum per week in our Marylebone, London office

– One day remote work/work from home

– On-site at festival from August 4th to September 5th 2025

 

Package:

– Up to £40k per year (subject to experience) – full time.

– 25 days annual leave

Additional time in lieu for weekend days worked when on location
