ACT have become the second Futures Supporter of the National Outdoor Events Association. The company, who specialise in health and training across live and outdoor events, is looking to support the industry by helping to increase the quality of education and understanding around health and safety at events.
The company becomes the second Futures supporter after GL events joined the programme last year. The Futures Supporter initiative was created to encourage partnerships between NOEA and businesses concerned with the long-term growth and stability of outdoor events.
“We’re keen to address the way health and safety is both discussed and taught across the industry and to make it more meaningful and accessible, comments Chris Woodford, Director, ACT. “Through NOEA, we can look to change the way the industry views health and safety and make progress to having both safer event environments and safer event companies.
“I couldn’t be more delighted to be welcoming ACT to NOEA as a Futures Supporter, commented Andy Grove, Interim-President, NOEA. “These are companies that are willing to make proactive steps towards the betterment of the industry and to put their time, knowledge and resource towards making tangible impacts on its progression.
As part of the activation of the sponsorship, ACT and NOEA will create a series of educational events, from entry to leadership level event professionals. The company will also create a suite of on and off line resources and guides accessible by NOEA members, to make health and safety easier understandable, and more approachable across the industry.
